The "paranormal" What A Bloody Pain !

Paranormal is a general term (coined c. 1915–1920) that designates experiences that lie outside "the range of normal experience or scientific explanation" or that indicates phenomena understood to be outside of science's current ability to explain or measure. Paranormal phenomena are distinct from certain hypothetical entities, such as dark matter and dark energy, only insofar as paranormal phenomena are inconsistent with the world as already understood through empirical observation coupled with scientific methodology.
Now this definition merely states that the PN is just something we do not understand fully, so lightning would be possibly Paranormal to cave men. I suppose if Ghosts are proven to exist and known to be spirits of the dead then they would no longer be PN.
Thing is I have had DIRECT experience of the PN on at least 2 occasions, and in some ways i wish i had not. The thing is since I have had direct uncontrovertable experience i am left with the conclusion that the PN exists the problem is, and has been for decades now, is that I cannot explain these events. If they were stories told to me by someone else i could show some interest but not be too bothered, however in my case I did experience them first had and for decades I have been struggling trying to explain them to my self.
The two events took place in the same house a few years apart and I suppose they need some background info.
In the 70's mum and dad made it big time, mum was a fairground gypsy, though her family had been in England for generations are were English, dad is a Indian from the Punjab who came here with his family in the late 1940's to avoid the partition holocaust, around 1 million people were slaughtered in the space of a few months ( compare this to the 6 million Jews over many years and you get a feel for how mindbogglingly awful this period was)
So mum and dad met and fell in love, little was mum to know that the gypsies originate from North India, in fact from the same region that my father came from..all roads lead to the Punjab !!!
After many years of hard work they had made it to the top, wining and dining lords and ladies, socialising with royalty and general living the good life, I can still remember driving the gardeners ( note the plural) insane as me and my cousin would drive the Roll Royce's ( plural !!!) over the lawns.
Yet mum never lost her roots, she would be dining with Maharajahs on a Friday night and down on the fairground on a sat morning helping here dad set up his stalls.
So we lived in a Mansion, well a bloody big house. It was, I think queen Anne style but the foundations go back to the 12th century. It had been a vicarage and the back entrances led directly to a ancient churchyard,
I was terrified of the house at night, just a young teens thing, i could hear it breathing at some nights i was so sure there were "presences" in my room that i would not turn over in bed to look and would often lie frozen with fear till dawn !! But i put that down to teen stuff. Going to the toilet at night was a challenge as the nearest bathroom was some walk away.
One night there was only me my mum and my 16 year old sister in the house, and i was awoken to the sound of the most enchanting Bach style ( melatron ? harpsichord ?) music. It was incredibly beautiful, almost dream like. Without a second thought i was up and out of my room following the sound looking for the source. remember i was often afraid to turn over in bed let alone wander the house at night.
Well i was following the sound down a corridor and i bumped into my mum, " Can you hear it too ?" she asked, we both carried on to the other end of the house and realised that the music was coming from my sisters room. This was at about 3.0 am and it was very strange for here to be listening to music at this hour, especially since she was a boarder at school and had NO MEANS OF PRODUCING MUSIC IN HER ROOM, she did not even have a radio. As soon as we opened her door the music stopped, she was fast asleep, sparko, there was no way she was faking this, you know that gormless mouth open snoring look that even an Oscar winner would have a hard time faking.
Well we woke her up, she was very confused..at bit like she was drugged. Of course she denied anything to to with the music and very quickly was fast asleep again. There was absolutely now way she could have made any form of music in that room
The sound defiantly came from inside here room, outside was the graveyard and though it is possible that someone could have been there at 3.00 am with a cassette recorder I can say for a fact that the music came from INSIDE HER ROOM and not from outside. Just take my word on this.
Next day i interrogated her continuously, to the point that i nearly had her in tears..she did not play any music that night or for that matter that weekend, she did not have the kit.
Now this is what annoys me, I will never have a proper explanation for this. Everything just leads to more question. The best explanation I have got that because she was going throw a very troubled time, and i do mean troubled time, she somehow linked up with an earlier resident of the room, perhaps a girl of a similar age ?
Then i have a theory hat there are no spirits but merely rips in time and somehow one was opened up here. Edit...see my later post about Tom and the Bed clothes..this theory does not explain physical interaction with the "entities" though who knows, sound is a physical interaction.. so forget the edit !!!! What i meant to say that maybe "ghost" are echoes in time but if so they somehow can interact with the present.
It never occurred again to my knowledge and in some ways i wish it had never happened...the explanation has been driving me nuts since the 1970's
The other experience ? ..oh just some green orbs as clear as torch light floating across the room and into the back of the TV, witnessed by me and my dad..but that is another story.....
