I need to make a depth map or something, or a way to make an object appear from an image so that it looks like it comes through the sky of the image in 3d space.... I have tried to find a tutorial on z-depth, but i need a step by step tutorial. Or is there a way to make a fog or something that has transparency. So i can animate the object through the fog and then import to after effects. And use some kind of matte settings etc...

I really dont know what im doing here, so hope someone can help me out.
