Hey Guys...i am about to finish an animation but the last bit kills me ...
picture the following scenario:
a bunch of cables comes through a hole ...they glide and flow through the scene and finally form a typographical logo...
this is done by the cables sort of wrapping around the "invisible" type which then becomes visible ...
i hope this makes sense ...
i´d really appreciate a couple of hints where to start...
its very important for me to have control of the path those cables move along...
cheers

Create splines as you want the cables to be then use animated sweeps nurbs to reveal them for the animation

cheers for the quick answer...the main problem i am having here is the part where the cables flow around the type ... i know i could wrap the cables around the type by hand...i was just wondering if there is a smarter method to wrap splines around objects....projecgion for example doesn´t work for complex shapes like type ....
i´l figure it out....someday..... i hope...;)/>
and keep up the good work...great site !

not sure, try spline dynamics ( hair splines ?) or maybe use TP to swarm particles around which trail splines
