Setting Linear Interprolation As Default

Some people have asked me how to set linear interprolation as the default setting, well you can set this via the last icon on the time line, set the custom interp to linear and check the option to use custom interp. But when you close c4d and reopen the defaults revert to spline. The trick is to make your changes ( whatever they may be) and save the file as new.c4d in your c4d base directory. This file will auto load on c4d startup with all your customizations. Note this is not the same as doing a "save as startup layout"
