Hi Paul,
Do you know of a way to make the flame shader actually emit light so it will illuminate surrounding objects with the flickering/undulations of the flames?
Cheers,
Solar7D

It emits GI by default but you can also add a standard flickering light or even try driving particles, made up of light objects. using the TFD data. For this you need to cache velocity which makes the sim files a lot larger

Thank you Paul,
The emitted GI works well.
"or even try driving particles, made up of light objects. using the TFD data."
Could you elaborate on where to pick up the TFD data from. I guess you would use Xpresso to modulate the particle rate with this data.
Thanks,
Solar7D

You can use standard particles, just make sure you have velocity data cached ( large file sizes)
