Hey Guys,

I just started using realflow with couple of tutorials that I have found on realflow site. My question is fairly simple, although I downloaded and installed the plugins for C4D, I can't import the files from Realflow to C4D.

Since I am a newbie to all this, I didn't even understand the basic realflow principles (meshes, scenes, xsi files etc.), what to import etc. Please help. Thanks.

Hello Guys,

I just started using RealFlow and been trying to achieve this www.computerarts.co.uk/tutorials/3d__and__animation/make_a_splash tutorial. However, I am having a lot problems since I am a newbie. I have downloaded the plugins for C4D but I couldn't figure out what to import. I basically tried everything ".bin" files etc. but nothing happens when choose the file.

I was also wondering if anyone could give me a quick demo about Realflow, what is a mesh, XSI files etc.

Thanks.

You make your simulation in realflow and it saves the particles as .bin files, in realflow you then make polygon meshshes out of those particles, these are also saved as a .bin sequence

In your 3d app, say cinema 4d, you use the realflow plugin to load a .bin sequence of mesh files, texture and render them

don't forget to triangulate all objects in C4D before exporting to .bin sequences, if not, RF won't work... ;-)
