Here is a photocopy of a photo of my great grandad Charlie Lee (middle main man), he was a real character. A romany gypsy who used to work the fairgrounds ( in fact i think i was the last in our family to have worked on the fairs)

Every year he would put on his best suit and pretend he was never a gypsy and then organize shooting parties for the wealthy. As a travelling gypsy his country craft skills were almost shamanistic and his shoots were highly regarded by the Toffs. Other than that he was very busy..he had seven children !!



And here is my restored a colorized version.. It is not brilliant, the coloring took about 10 mins but it is very difficult to work with these old photos as the contrasts and lighting are poorly defined in the originals
