I know there are archicad apps that would do this but if say we were to use C4D or maybe Max what about this for a project

It would mean getting all the plans from somewhere and finding someone who understands how to get all the info into a 3d end result

Perhaps we could have someone who knows about this to advise and we could all create our own or maybe different people work on different sections ( could be confusing)

I suppose we could maybe have a leader working on the great pyramid and others working on the other 2 and then we have the sphinx and all the "mortuary" temples etc

There is a web site that says they are working on a very accurate model of the giza plateau but will not share their surveying results

Project

Quote

The underlying data for the Giza Plateau model are not available to the public at this time. When the basic model is finished we will determine how and to whom the model will be made available.

The above quote makes my blood boil

But i think the measurements of the buildings are all available for free somewhere

Not too sure how much time i can donate to it but i could help to get the "ball rolling" and we could use the limited CMS functionality of the site to help ( or even set up a specific CMS site for it)

Lets hear what you think

Well, we should use tarragon like the other person said, and use Cinema 4D to create the pyramids because then when we get the measurements, we can scale the different pyramids to size. I could stat on one pyramid, then you could scale it however you like.

There's a free 3d app called 'design workshop lite' and on the site is a link to great buildings of the world, there's a massing model of the pyramids in there but I don't thngk that c4d can open the files.

I think that it would be best to start with the chambers and tunnels, rather than doing a boolean. from a primitive.
