Another Bathroom
Another Evermotion scene that i tinkered with and got a fair render in about 3 hours, rendered in Max 8 on 1.8 Ghz AMD 1 GB RAM
I used adaptive AA 0 3 cat rom filter ( it does need a better AA setting !!), A high irradience map subivs at 90 30 and a light map with 1000 samples ( set to 1 pass)
In the system I set tree depth to 45 and face co-efficient to .5 ( this does help to speed the renders up)
i used a linear color map 1, 1

I recently tried this scene. I exported from Max via FBX and imported into C4D. Somehow this translation lost the tub faucet. I got all the textures and materials set up and started tinkering with lights and GI. Then I decided to learn LWF at the same time. I added one omni-directional light source per wall mounted light fixture and one area light source per each wall shelf. Plus a sun and sky. I have enough light in the room, but everything is too evenly lit.
This is the tutorial I followed for LWF: http://cg.tutsplus.c...g-in-cinema-4d/
I adjusted the overall gamma, and the gamma for the texture maps. But not sure what to do for the materials that use shaders.

Long way to go to make it convincing, but it's a start.
Any comments are welcome!
